I was a track athlete in my childhood, but after a long hiatus, I took up road running in 2011 in my late 30s. The original goal was weight loss, but after shedding 75 lbs, I fell in love with distance running. 5Ks grew to marathons, and then I moved to triathlon, which is now my focus. I've completed 4 Ironmans and 13 half Ironmans. Running and triathlon also introduced me to my soulmate, who I'm now very happily married to. Most of our vacations are race-cations, and we're looking forward to growing old together, continuing to pursue this crazy endurance athlete lifestyle for as long as we can. I'm an aerospace engineer, so I love to geek out over bike aero data. I also have 2 kids and 3 stepkids in high school and college, which keeps me at my day job! I suffer from several autoimmune diseases, one of which gives me dry mouth during exercise, and makes it almost impossible to consume solid food on the bike leg of a triathlon. Discovering the all-liquid fueling solutions of Infinit has been a game-changer for me.
