A former couch potato, I escaped a life of obesity in 2006 and never looked back once I discovered running and the triathlete lifestyle. What started as a means to simply manage my weight after gastric bypass has become a way of life.
This summarizes the major triathlon milestones since I started on this journey.
2007 marked my first 5K, 10K, 15K, half marathon, and marathon
2008 first spin class due to overuse injury, bought a bike
2009 learned to swim for Irongirl Sprint Tri
2010 Syracuse 70.3 (6:43)
2012 IMLP (15:43)
2016 IMMT (13:27)
2016 Hired a coach to work towards qualifying for Kona.
2017 IMLP (12:23) Placed 7th in my age group
2017 Atlantic City 70.3 (5:48) Placed 9th in my age group
2018 Atlantic City 70.3 (6:04) struggled with hamstring injuries in 2018
2019 IMLP (14:43) finished after serious bike accident 5 weeks before the race.
