I'm a 34-year-old husband, father, business owner and endurance sport enthusiast from the Chicagoland area of IL. I'm also a Jiu Jitsu practitioner but mostly during the "off-season" since triathlon has become my focus. I got married 5 years ago and started an online business with my brother. Things have gone well with my company and it has provided me the luxury of flexible travel and training hours for triathlon. My wife and I have an amazing one and half year-old daughter who I want to set a good example for. I went to culinary school right out of high school and spent my 20's as a chef. I traveled around quite a bit during my cooking career and even lived on the island of St. Croix for 3 years. Ironman had a 70.3 on STX that I would watch every year and that’s where the dream of becoming an Ironman started. From then until now I have struggled with running because of knee issues. I’ve had a few good races and a bunch of bad races because of injury. February of 2019 I finally had surgery on it and successfully completed two 70.3’s. Now I am feeling stronger than ever and ready to show what I am truly capable of! 2020 I will realize my dream and become an Ironman.
