I retired from a hi-stress corporate job in 2012 and started working out seriously in 2013 losing 40+ lbs. Up to that point I had only run, on the corporate running team, and with one full marathon (Frankfurt, Germany '94) under my belt.) Got into multisport races in 2015 after serendipitously landing in a triathlon training class, and in 2019 successfully completed my first Half Ironman (OOB 70.3 Maine). Also qualified for National AG Championship races in Cleveland last year, and was invited to race in Nationals in Milwaukee this year, as well as in Edmonton, CA for the World AG Championships (OLY). I registered for the Patriot Half in June as well as the 70.3 in Maine in August where I hope to beat my time from last year.
