My name is Mike Theusch and am a CPA credentialed public accountant at PwC, a husband for the past two years, and endurance fanatic. I found my passion for endurance sports (trithalon and gravel racing) a few years after college and haven’t looked back. I have competed in four 70.3 races and one full 140.6 as well as several gravel racing events. My true passion is triathlon and absolutely love the 70.3 distance but gravel racing is also very freeing and an enjoyable way to train. My best finish was at 2019 70.3 Madison (5:55) however, with triple the elevation compared to the previous years race, Steelhead and the downfall of my stomach on the run, I was happy with the improvement and was looking forward to continuing on that trajectory in 2020 until CoVid. I was able to figure out the stomach issues on the run thanks to Infinit nutrition and in training has resulted in solid post bike splits and was looking forward to a sub 1:30 run split at 2020 Madison 70.3 I am a very determined individual with my first race being Steelhead 70.3. That race was the first time for me swimming in open water (Lake Michigan) after teaching myself to swim out of a book at 25, and running a half marathon. My dedication to the sport and improving upon my abilities is my main motivation and suffering through these tasks is an incredibly rewarding and joyful experience that I wish to continue for as long as I can. My goals in the sport are to podium as an AG, become professional, and of course to beat Sam Long and Jan Frodeno (just like everyone else) and a membership with Infinit would be a great stepping stone on the path to my successful triathlon career.
