Hi, I’ve been a truck driver most of my adult life. It’s not the healthiest lifestyle to live. A lot of sitting, and not a lot of exercise. To I gained some weight and wasn’t a very active person. When my mom passed away. I started walking in a charity fundraiser in her memory. 2018 I decided I was going to run it. A full 5k. What on earth was I thinking. That sounded so far. I trained my butt off. I ran the 5k with my cousin Joe. It was the coolest thing ever. A few weeks later. A friend asked me if I wanted to do a triathlon. After figuring out what a triathlon is. I agreed to do it. Did I mention that I didn’t know how to swim? Well i signed up for swim lessons. In the lanes next to me were two kids about 5 and 8. Man they were fast!!! I did my first triathlon September 2018. I was hooked. In December of 2018. I signed up for what I thought was 70.3 Ironman Wisconsin. Little did I know that i signed up for the Full Ironman. Opps lol. 2019 I did Ohio 70.3 and after a training ride on the Ironman Wisconsin bike course. I decided that I hate hills. So I transferred to IMMD 2019. I completed the course. I missed the magic words by 17 minutes. But I was still happy. It was the best day of my life so far!!!! I met so many great people and friends. This year I’m going back to Maryland to finish some business and I’m going to bear the magic words.
In my spare time. I like to make pallet projects. I volunteer with abused and neglected kids involved in the court system. I also enjoy when my neighbors sons knock on my door and ask if I can play basketball or football with them. It’s so much fun.
