I am an athlete. I excel in endurance events but also dabble in others. In highschool I walked away from a full ride wrestling scholarship so I could work at a kayak shop in Oregon and take a stab at being a pro kayaker and It gave me some of the best years of my life. I was on the US kayaking team for nearly 10 years and won the world championships in 2007. now I have shifted to endurance sports, I started out with trail running and then to obstical racing, then in 2014 I ran my first 50 miler, 3 more in 2015 and then in 2016 I ran 2x50's, 1x100k, 1x100M and countless ultra obstical races. In 2017 I started my road to Iron man lake placid for 2018.
I love biking and spend a lot of time on trails. My daughters (11 and 9) keep me busy and my oldest started racing bike with me this last season. I am super excited about the seasons to come and all the fun we will have riding our bikes together.
All in all, I am just a guy who like to race and train. I love waking up and starting my day before everyone else. a cup of coffee and some Infinit MUD and I am ready to go. I am super excited to be apart of such an amazing team of athletes and am looking forward to what 2018 will bring.
